Hi Maureen! I've been keeping you in my prayers. You need to take care of yourself. Rest and do what Jim and the kids tell you to do. I know that it isn't easy, but behave yourself or I'll be making a house call. I always have Duct Tape in the back of my truck, and I'll keep you down and resting if that's what it takes. :>) Take care of yourself. Remember -- God has his plan. I'm not sure if you know it, but on April 26 the girls and I walked in the "relay for Life" benefitting the american cancer society. We dedicated our walk to you and my friends all over the US pledged to offer their daily masses and rosaries for you on that date. it's so cool - how tight God's family is.

You are such a ray of light. I love you and can't wait to get together again and laugh!

I thought I saw some Bettinis on a motorcycle this week!! I was coming off of 99 at 4th Street two days ago and I thought, "Is that who I think it is??" Nice bike and I hope you enjoy the rides!

Maureen, you are a miracle woman. It's all that love you exude for everyone. You have been in Mom's, Scott's, Jeanie's and my prayers continuously, and I wanted to remind you how much you and Jim, and your gorgeous family are loved by our family. We love you all and pray for comfort, now and always from the good Lord. I want to thank-you for allowing me to say good-bye to my dear friend, now angel and sharing in her final journey. While praying, I pulled out one of my favorite poems and thought I would share:

I am home in Heaven, dear ones; Oh, so happy and so bright! There is perfect joy and beauty in this everlasting light.

All the pain and grief is over, every restless tossing passed; I am now at peace forever, safely home in Heaven at last.

Did you wonder I so calmly trod the valley of the shade? Oh! but Jesus' love illumined every dark and fearful glade.

And He came Himself to meet me in that way so hard to tread; And with Jesus' arm to lean on, could I have one doubt or dread?

Then you must not grieve so sorely, for I love you dearly still; Try to look beyond earth's shadows, pray to trust our Father's Will.

There is work still waiting for you, so you must not idly stand; Do it now, while life remaineth - You shall rest in Jesus' land.

Dear Bettini family,
